A PdAg bimetallic nanocatalyst for selective reductive amination of nitroarenes.
Herein we have identified an optimal catalyst, Pd1Ag1.7, for the tandem reductive amination between nitroarenes and aldehydes (selectivity > 93%). Key to the success is the ability to control the compositions of the investigational Pd1-xAgx (x = 0-1) catalysts, as well as the clear composition dependent activity/selectivity trend observed in this study. This catalyst features a wide substrate s...
متن کاملEfficient and highly selective iron-catalyzed reduction of nitroarenes.
Pyrolysis of iron-phenanthroline complexes supported on carbon leads to highly selective catalysts for the reduction of structurally diverse nitroarenes to anilines in 90-99% yields. Excellent chemoselectivity for the nitro group reduction is demonstrated.
متن کاملReduction of nitroarenes to azoxybenzenes by potassium borohydride in water.
The synthesis of the azoxybenzenes by the reduction of nitroarenes with reducing agent potassium borohydride in water was reported for the first time. PEG-400 was used as a phase transfer catalyst and could effectively catalyze the reduction. The electronic effects of substituent groups play an important role in determining the reduction efficiencies. Electron-withdrawing substituents promote t...
متن کاملMagnetically recyclable hollow nanocomposite catalysts for heterogeneous reduction of nitroarenes and Suzuki reactions.
Highly active magnetically recyclable hollow nanocomposite catalysts with a permeable carbon surface have been prepared by a simple, economical and scalable process. The designed nanocomposite exhibited excellent catalytic activities in the selective reduction of nitroarenes and Suzuki cross-coupling reactions. The catalysts could be easily separated by a magnet, and recycled consecutively.
